Its the main power board, that model uses the Vestel 17PW15-8 powerboard. They are available on Ebay for around £35.If you can't find the 17PW15-8 then i believe the Vestel 17PW20 was a direct replacement for the discontinued 17PW15-8.The boards are relatively easy to replace, they're held in by only 4 screws. There are also repair kits but these require some soldering skills.Hope this helps

I have the same problem with a Wharfdale DV3 TV (LCD2710HDAF). I'll add a little more info which might help someone answer Elaine's problem too.
I press the power switch on the TV and the blue standby light comes on. When I press the standby button to bring the TV out of standby, the blue light goes out but the TV does not come on. When I turn on the power button, there is a very high pitched squealing whine. So high and so quiet it is almost inaudible. If I keep turning the TV on, then off, if I'm lucky, on one of the times I switch it on, the whine will not be there. On that occasion, I know that if I press the standby button, the TV will come on.
but this is obviously not a solution. Can anybody tell me what the fault is likely to be and what I need to do to fix it. Thanks
