RECORDING VIA FREEVIEW?

I'M ABOUT TO ORDER A SONY TV WITH BUILT IN FREE VIEW - I CURRENTLY HAVE A SET-TOP BOX WITH HARDDRIVE - CAN I PLUG THE SET TOP BOX IN TO THE TV AND RECORD AS I DO NOW OR WILL THAT CONFUSE THE PRE LOADED FREVIEW IN THE TV.
DEREK HOLLINGHURST, November 2009
If your new TV has AV output you will be able to record from TV, but you will be limited to recording the same channel you are watching. Better to spend £20 or so on a Freeview box and record from that.

Tom, November 2009
Your set top box has its own built-in Freeview Tuner(s) and so does the TV set. They both get their input from the antenna (aerial) cable not from each other.

Just plug them together. They will just work and ignore each other.
