How do I remove circuit boards from a plasma tv?

My Samsung plasma tv (PS50Q97HD) recently stopped working at just 2 years old and now has a blank screen and clicks continuoulsy. Having read numerous webchats, including on this website, I have removed the back of the TV and now wish to remove the circuit board to solder on new capacitors. My problem is that there are flattened power tapes connected in and I cannot seem to remove them prior to the removal of the circuit board. Please help!

Can't quite understand your, "there are flattened power tapes connected in "

If soldered then remove solder and straighten with pliers.

If screwed or push on the simply remove

You will obviously have a soldering iron and multicore solder but Solder Wick will help greatly with unsoldering - you are very brave attempting this - are you sure the capacitors you wish to replace are actually on the board you wish to remove?

Good luck...
