My VCR will not turn on period. I plug it up and nothing?

How can if fix this. I opened the case and saw a fuse. The fuse is intact. The plug in is in tact. The wall outlet is good.

You may well have a problem with the unit's power supply - good you opened it and checked the fuse though take care when the covers are off...

When something electrical goes Short Circuit too much current will flow and a fuse will blow (hopefully).

When something goes Open Circuit no current flows so any safety fuses will remain intact.

Your VCR very probably has an open circuit type fault in the power supply but this is just conjecture on my part.

Your choices are clear - repair it yourself / have it repaired professionally / buy a new one / take up reading etc.

Good luck...
