videostudio will not recognise my video camera?

I have a firewire installed in my computer, when i try to connect my camera ( camera not recognised ) appears on screen I went to JVC site, drivers are no longer available. I want to tranfer mini DV tapes to DVD CAN YOU HELP PLEASE model no GR-D21EK DIGITAL VIDEO CAMERA. PS I no longer own a video tape player be greatfull for any help thanks
