TO REPLACE BEARING ON LG WM 1485 FHD?

MAKE OF WASHING MACHINE LG
MODEL WM 1485 FHD
NEED TO REPLACE INNER BEARING AS MACHINE MAKES GRINDING NOISE ON WASH CYCLE AND SPIN
MACHINE IS DIRECT DRIVE TYPE
HAVE MANAGED TO DISMANTLE THE MOTOR BUT CANNOT GET THE BEARING ASSEMBLY
NEED HELP WHAT AND HOW TO DO NEXT STEP

Bearing failure on an LG washer is not a common occurrence (not impossible but very rare).

In most cases---the Hall Effect Sensor can cause a *growl* noise when the sensor is failing.

Replacing the Hall Sensor may be all that is necessary.

I would contact an authorized LG servicer to rule-out the sensor before attempting any major repair--such as a new bearing assembly.
