Digihome DTR80 - Jumping on record & playback?

Hi
Just bought the above and when recording using ITV channels/Film4 the playback is very jumpy....is this a problem I can fix or is a 'return to seller' issue??
BBC channels work fine

Any ideas?? Got loads to record over Christmas!!

sometimes it can be as a result of too much stored as in recorded on the hard drive and it needing a defragmentation and the answer there is to watch all your programmes and then either 'real time' record the ones you really want to keep on to a dvd recorder, but other times it can simply be a signal issue and the answer there is to check your aerial. hope this helps

Can anyone justify the statement "Alot (sic) of people have been having the same problem". I'd like to see the postings on this from *a lot* of people.

I'm having problems with the channels on one multiplex and I'd like to confirm it really is a signal issue. All is fine until we start recording. Then no channels are watchable. It seems like the processor can not cope with recording one channel and showing another. I wondered if it's some sort of synchronous i/o wait problem with the HD and whether the HD may be flaky. But that of course doesn't tie up with the fact that it seems to be worst on one multipex.

Alot of people have been having the same problem ever since the digital switchover. i'd advise taking it back if its a new one.
