I have a Sony Trinitron KV32fx60u and trouble with the AV's?

My machine keeps flipping from AV1 which has by freeview to AV2 (which is unused) then back again. If I try to watch a dvd on AV3 it will flip back to AV1 after 5/6mins. How can I fix this?
