Neff H7860 Microwave - How do you turn the beep off?

This is an excellent microwave oven but I would like to shoot the technician who decided to make it beep a total of 48 times over a period of 30 seconds at the end of each heating. Whenever we use it there is a rush to the oven to hit the Off button as soon as the countdown timer reaches zero to stop the infuriating beeps!

A recent internet forum post suggested that pressing the Start button for 6 seconds would solve this. Unfortunately that doesn't work with this particular model. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The above solution worked for me.I have a C67M70 (FD9007). These settings, including language, are all explained on page 52 of the user manual. Many thanks

THANK YOU, Nige, for your 2016 message about holding the Start button for 6 sec. I just acquired a Neff Microwave, and the infinite beeps were making me mad, and I hated the device because of that. Now it only beeps 3 times and stops.
I don't know why that is not disclosed in the User's Manual. I read it, and there was nothing.

THANK YOU!!! This has been driving me to distraction for months. Now fixed!

Pressing the Start button for 6 seconds works for a NEFF Microwave H53W50N0GB. It resets to just 3 beeps.

It worked for me.

Not sure if its the same but for the Neff microwave combi oven c67p70 and the neff oven b46e74 to stop the beeping press the operator mode selector to turn the appliance on, then press and hold the info (i) button, till the text changes, push i button repeatedly untill the audible signal is displayed, then change to off using the temperature selector. Press the info button for a few seconds to apply the setting. Hope this helps
