Baxi solo 3 60pfi - remove fan unit?

We have ascertained that the boiler fan has burned out. The manual says to disconnect the sensor tubes and wiring and just slide out, but it wont budge. Do you have any advice? Are there any screws to be found as we can't find them!

Ok - we managed that and installed the new fan unit. The CH ran for over an hour, then stopped again. Once again the Boiler and Fan lights are on but it won't fire up.

Any suggestions anyone???????

Just removed my unit today. Although it should slide out their are four screws on the side of the boiler that if loosened (but not fully removed) allow the slider bars either side to be slightly more flexible and make it easier to remove. Only other thing that holds it is place could be a silicone sealant where the back of the fan meets the vent pipe. Hope this helps.
