My triton opal shower has started overflowing ?

Hi I have a triton opal shower has started overflowing
Rather than getting water from the showehead the water now comes out under the shower unit from a small plastic pipe
Any ideas how to fix this problem?

Thanks,no limescale as jut over two years olds -I wondered if their should be a cap on the plastic overflow pipe that has come off?

shower head is blocked/restricted, (usually scale,)remove shower head does the water now flow freely clean or replace the head unit. The clear plastic pipe under the case is the overflow from the internal tank also a air breather to the tank,
