potterton prima f80 wall mount 14 years old working fine just stopped igniting every thing comes on , I can hear the fan going , the pump but no clicking to ignite the gas also smell of gas start coming from the flue everything is switched off.

I have downloaded a fault finding chart from Potterton web site under installation instructions, the fault could be resolved by changing the igniter and the cable to the control box and replacing the control box complete, the new control box fits in the other ones place nicely, a competant electrician can do the job power to the boiler should be off until the job is finished, total cost £210-00 inc VAT, we are warm now.
