my ravenheat keeps losing water pressure[normily runs on one bar]
les, December 2009
water leaks from my pressure gauge. Why is this? Also i keep loosing water pressure and keep having to add pressure to keep it above 1 bar

The expansion vessel may have lost its pre-charge,
easy job to complete, pumping the vessel back up.

or

Connection to vessel may be blocked and therefore the
vessel is unable to take up the expansion of heated
water, PRV (pressure release valve) dripping outside.

your ravenheat or central heating system has a leak!, usual suspect is the pressure relif valve this passes thro the wall to out side can can drip if there is dirt in the system or if there is a pressure fault, tie a polythene bag over the end and if there is water in it the next day.... it's leaking!
