Gday, this is not an answer for you but a strange coincidence as i have the exact same TV purchased about 5yr ago and just last week it decided not to show any picture and to make a beeping or bird chirping noise continously from inside the back of the TV. I dont even get the standby blue light as you describe it.
They must be programed to die after the extended warranty, the first one i got died in 2 weeks, i should of changed my mind when i picked up the replacement.
