CT1 to the rescue again “Mouldy Shower Sealant” CT1 vs Silicone. The silicone shower sealant will start to reduce in size and detach from the shower. It will then tend to go mouldy as bacteria starts to grow. The main reason why silicone is mainly used in Baths and showers is purely on price as they can now be bought for as little as £1.00.
CT1 Sealant is the ideal product for Baths and showers. CT1 Bath and Shower sealant is a premier hybrid polymer for ultimate sealing and bonding. CT1 also benefits from not having any solvents so no shrinkage ever, also being 100% VOC free means that it is impossible to ever mould.
Others uses within a Bathroom include super strong adhesion for Mirrors, Shower Trays, Sinks, Tiles, Cabinets, Towel Holders and all sealant requirements with the bathrooms.
Top Tip: Before applying CT1 bath sealant it is advisable to remove any old silicone sealant which is a difficult task. The perfect product for this is our CT1 Multisolve. This can also be used for a super smooth finish around you Bath or Shower.
Bearing Station are a Premier Distributor of CT1 products within the UK and Ireland and stock all variants on all CT1 products and ready for same day dispatch.

I have found that spraying with Dettol Mould and Mildew Remover works quite well, but it is dependent on how severe the spotting is. I leave it on for longer than the stated time on the container, usally about 30 to 45 minutes. I spray it on the tiles as well and it cleans off any spotting on the grouting. If the mould has got into the sealant to any depth then I'm afraid youv'e had it and it will need to be replaced. Good Luck
