is the tv on its way out. There has been a green 'hue' on our tv for a while and has got worse We have altered the colours and brightness etc but to no avail. we have had this for a number of years and wonder whether its better to ditch and buy a new one or repair

It may be possible to enter the service menu via the remote control and alter the green drive but unfortunately these sets have a history of tube failure with a bad batch of Philips tubes and in the worse case will turn green and switch to standbye.
