radiators not working upstairs?

we have 3 radiators upstairs and 3 down, the upstairs ones do not get hot, or even warm for that matter. we have a combi boiler that is about 4 years old. The radiators have been bled and all the correct valves ect have been turned on. My other half thinks it needs a new pump, any advice?

turn the boiler off & bleed some water out of the system to lower the pressure. check that the filling loop is closed (the bit you use to top up the pressure). if the pressure is only in the red when the heating is on, then you need your expansion vessel re-pressurised.

as for your radiators, ensure that the valves on both sides of the radiators upstairs are fully open, then turn off the downstairs rads. see if that starts the upstairs radiators heating. if not, i'd suspect that you have a blockage. there is a chance that your pump could be on the road out though.

the pump is set to lll which it says on the pump itself is 90. just pressed an i button and looking at the code given in the manual it says "water pump over run".

However i noticed the pressure gauge is showing up in the red at 3 when it should be between 1 and 1.5. should i be worried!

if your sure that all valves and switch are right then i would tend to agreed with your partner but check thats theres power going to the pump . in my house the radiators done the exact same but in my case someone had accidently knocked the pump power switch off hope that helps
