hoover 1300spin hpe 236 start button stopped working?

has been playing up and got gradually worse but completely stopped working last night.

Works fine if you can start it! Worth fixing? (it is about 4 years old) or should i look for a new one?

not a clue, but mine wont empty, wont get ride of soap etc, ive just opened the dirt catcher at bottom and got loads of fluff out!! Now doing a wash with soda crystals!!Mines 4 years old again, and would not buy another.
