I have had my camera for approx.3 years and a couple of days ago the 'Command Dial' ceased to function.
I can no longer select aperture /shutter speed, exposure, flash and/or continuous shooting settings.
When turning the command dial it just keeps turning with no response to any of the commands that I require.
Would appreciate any advise on how to correct the problem.
If it is the command button that has failed, there is a product recall for this. It should therefore be repaired by Fuji free of charge. However, if they have to repair anything else at the same time there will probably be a charge.

Hi Tony, could you possibly tell me exactly how you worded the email you sent to http://www.fuji.co.uk/consumer/service-support.
I have the same problem with a s8000fd and it is out of warranty and I would like to get the same result as you, did you have to provide a receipt or anything?
Thanks.

If you contact "placeanorder at fuji" they will sell you the whole right hand top plate for about £15.00.
They will want to know that you are capable of doing it, beleive me it is really simple to do.

Hi Eddie, I had the same problem. It is a common fault on that model and I suggest you contact Fuji (you can do it on line) http://www.fuji.co.uk/consumer/service-support. I contacted them and explained my problem whereupon they asked me to post it to their repair centre. Give them the serial number when enquiring. They repaired mine FoC as it is a common manufacturer defect. Good luck, hope this helps.
