Have the same problem. I have tried to uninstall it but it doesnt help. Still cant play... :(

Try 1 of these:
1) Keep rebooting your PC and retrying !
2) Launch Steam and try to run from the 'My Games' option
3) If it comes up with the message 'Updating Steam' when you run the game for the 1st time, then quickly press cancel.
