Panasonic SA-HT75 "No Disc" error?

I have a Panasonic SA-HT75 (5) disc DVD/Home Theater system and when I insert a DVD into the player. I can see and hear the laser move, but the disc never spins. I have replaced the spindle motor with the new replacement part #RXQ1222T and I am back to the same problem "No disc"? Anyone have any ideals?

I replaced the same part in my Panasonic SA-DK10 DVD STEREO SYSTEM. DVD plays fine. When a CD is inserted the 'NO DISC' error is right there. The error comes because the motor does not spin the CD but spins the DVD. Kind a weird I think. Why does it spin the DVD and not the CD? Does not the same motor work for both media?

These panasonic sa-ht75 dvd players all suffer from drive motor failure, when you put the disc in it can't read it and comes up "NO DISC". My saht75 has probably only played 10 dvd's from new and now it is scrap. I paid £ 350 for it a few years ago and the local repair shop wants £ 280 to repair it, they say you have to change the laser at the same time as the motor. There are quite a few of these about for spares or repair all with the same problem.Panasonic should repair these otherwise great dvd players free of charge even if they are well out of warranty. Unless you can get the parts for next to nothing just buy a new one but make sure its not a Panasonic .

PORQUE ES ESTE ERROR CON PELICULAS DVD SOLAMENTE, NO CON CD DE MUSICA.

I Have this smae model and the problem is the same as yours when a dics is inserted, it tries to play but nothing happens. I have taken it to be repaired and the problem is with leaky capacitors which need replacing. Hope this helps

That is the exact same model I have and had the same problem- minus the replaced parts. I followed the instructions to oil the motor and it has helped and now plays, but it still is sluggish. I was going to replace the motor, but if it did not work for you I am not sure anymore. I will monitor this post to see what the best solution is. Where did you order your parts for it?

I have used a CD Rom cleaner disc which has worked on a Thompson DVD and a Sharp DVD (though not on Samsung for some reason). You can buy a lens cleaner disc at asny computer shop. You can also get proprietary DVD cleaning kits. I've used thes as well, but (I don't know why) the CD ROM cleaner works best, at least for me.
