my sky+ box has been making a strange noise like you can hear a disc turning in it, and now it wont turn on. The red light on the front shows but it wont go beyond this.

any ideas? i was tempted to oped
n it up and have a look, just hope its not in need of a replacemnt already.

I dont know if this solution will help you but it worked for me i pulled the plug out of the sky+ box and went to bed next day i plugged in again waited 10 mins then switched on by the remote and all was ok. good luck
