LIGHT STAYS ON AFTER SWITCHED OFF?

oUR LANDING LIGHT STAYS ON even after we have switched it off. This is only a recent problem and not a result of mis-wiring. The problem just developed. The Landing light can be turned on from the upstairs or the downstairs by separate switches. Can you help ?

Take the switches off the wall and have a look at the connections - one of them may have come loose.
Otherwise check any exposed cabling eg in the loft.
Then take the wires out of the switches, seperate them out and put them in terminal block. switch the power on and see if the lights go off. If they do chances are the switch is at fault and needs replacing.
