F-76 error on Miele CVA 4070?

My Miele machine CVA 4070 displays F-76 and I can't get the preparation unit out. Seems to be stuck. Does anybody have ideas as to how to solve this? Thanks in advance

getting the brew unit out is not a big problem. Cycle the power to the machine and wait for the brew unit to park itself in the correct position for removal. Dealing with repeated fault 76 is another matter.
