hello my portable dvd player plays cds perfectly however it wont play dvds and the night before it was working perfectly anyone help plesase ??

Try cleaning the laser which is the eye next to the center where you place the disc. If that dosn't work it may be time for a new one because the laser may have gone weak, the laser runs stronger on dvd's than it does on cd's.
