I had this when the load was unbalanced. Another time was when there was still water in the machine and I had to drain it using the emergency drain hose located on the front at the bottom.

you haven't told us the make but if zanussi could be a door interlock fault or main pcb doorlock triac fault or if you are unlucky both!
