My top load washing machine will not fill or cycle to the next step. Sometimes it does fill but does not stop filling and overfills the tub on to the floor.

I have replaced the water inlet valve and the pressure switch.

Do you think i would need to replace the timer? if so, are there any other parts to replace for this problem>?
