auto focus stopped working canon 400d?
as a camera newbie who doesnt know the front or the back of a camera when my canon eos 400d stopped working almost a year ago i guessed it was due to me wiping the inside focus lens with a lens wipe as it stopped auto focusing the second after i did that.
I couldnt afford to have it repaired till just before xmas and i got it back today i explained what happened and although i could use manual focus it wouldnt auto full stop.
the shop cleaned then sensor and replaced the focus lens and i collected it it and found nothing changed sure i dont have spots on the sensor now and my focus lens isnt scratched but i still cant auto focus and im now out of pocket money wise and still without a camera.
the shops telling me that it costs more than cameras worth to repair the auto focus and i need know of this is true or it can be fixed?
the camera wasnt dropped or bumped and no other reason except me messing about when i did.
