Dimplex exbury electric fire not working properly?

My Dimplex Exbury Electric coal effect fire will not light up. I have put new bulbs in but the bulbs and fan will not come on. The heat will come on but no fireglow. The fire comes with remote control which has new batteries. Can anyone help please.
