UPVC door lock?

When door open key turns and locks door
When door shut key will only turn half way door will not lock.
What is stopping this from happening please

these are possibles
either the door has DROPPED
the foundations either lifted/dropped
the lock keep could be out of line due to any of the above but might have some adjustment in it

pull handle up as far as it can go then turn key, handle should go up a good bit.
