How to remove silicone?

Any tips on how to remove old dried on silicone from an enamel bath. Don't want to scrape it and scratch the enamel. Have tried meths but not much use.

scrape as much as off as poss, then use paint thinner

i have just used sealant remover on my fibreglass bath.as peccavi said bath enamel is near bullet proof and can be scraped .screwfix £2.53 for 100ml. part no 17175-99.

Enamel is baked on hard and is difficult to scratch and I know of no product that dissolves silicone. In your situation I would remove as much as possible with a scalpel blade and attack anything left with a 3M style Green pan-scrubber.
