How do I find my LAN network address?

Computer I want to connect to thru' wireless network has a "z" drive. After some fiddling about on my laptop I managed to loose it. How do I re-connect.

Peccavi's answer below will do the trick. One other way is to open-up a command prompt (Start -> Run -> type 'cmd' and press return), and type the command ipconfig. This will present your LAN IP address, subnet mask etc etc.

I take it the Windows 2000 pro PC has a shared drive, which you are connecting to via your PC? If you double-click 'My Computer', is the share drive you used previously still there?

If not, right-click 'My Computer', and select 'Map Network Drive'. Keep whatever drive letter it gives you (very often 'Z'), and type the share details of the drive on your Windows 2000 server. It will be along the lines of \\\share name - for example \\192.168.0.2\shared_folder.

Good luck!
