LED on washing machine was unlit.:( checked fuse.. it works fine on another appliance - but i still got now power running thru the machine. ANYONE have the first clue what could be the problem before i run out and buy a new machine
MODEL no: LG wm 14225fd. had the machine about 4 years and has never given me a problem really.

changed plug but theres still no power, anything else to manually check/inspect?

itsa moulded plug and therefor i cannot inspect the wiring, sooooo
cut the plug off and try a new one?

If the power tripped in the house - all the power - it would be an RCD trip rather than an MCB - Had an MCB tripped the fuse in the plug would have blown as well.

An RCD will trip when there's an inbalance of current between Live & Neutral the assumption being that the missing current is running to earth and possibly electrocuting someone - an unsafe condition.

It does no harm to check the wiring in the plug but new appliances come with moulded-on plugs so it may be difficult to do this. Had you been able to dismantle the plug to remove the fuse then presumably you would have inspected the plug wiring at the same time.

No LED on the front panel and a known-good AC supply and a known-good fuse suggests that the internal power supply that provides power to the control electroniocs is defective - no power here = no LED, no control and no function. Whatever the fault was that caused the trip has now created an Open Circuit because the trip is no longer operating. Something has melted.

sounds as if machine is shorting have you checked wiring in plug make sure no bare wires touching make sure it as a good earth failing that its shorting in the machine could be earthing its self
