My Simpson Encore 555 only turns 'agitates' in one direction causing the clothes to twist up arount the agitator in the middle. Everything else seems fine.

I am having the same problem with my Encore 555, all the clothes get wound tightly around the agitator and it then gets out of balance when spinning and have to unwind it all several times during a wash. Have checked and the agitator is turning in just one direction (clockwise). Really hope someone can help us, please !
