I have an APEX DVD Player.
While watching a movie, the picture freezes.
It only would happen once in a while before.
Now it happens very often, to the point where we have to quit watching the movie.
I am pretty sure that it is dirty, but which part would I clean?
Also, what chemical is recommended to use for cleaning it?

it just needs the laser cleaning with a cotton tip thats all.they get dust on them and can not read the disc properly and freeze.

If you look on the back on some DVD's it does give out a warning that due to most or all the discs being Dual Layer Format, the layer transition might trigger a slight pause. You may also witness this if play pirate copies.

It sound to me as if the laser is on its way out, you could buy a laser cleaning disk which will come with the cleaning fluids and try this first, but if that doent fix your problem then i would suggest taking it back to the shop you bought it from and ask about a replacement or repair.
