Draining and spinning are normal, however if your clothes are very wet at the end of the cycle you could have a broken motor coupler ( if worn spin cycle will be weak), bad gearcase ( if timer bypasses spin cycle and advance to off gc may be bad), clutch/brake assembly (if clutch is slipping due to oil leaking from gearcase/gc spin will be diminished drastically), or basket drive (worn or corroded basket drive will cause a weakened spin). I would check the motor coupler ( if its loose or worn replace it) and clutch first( remove agitator and then remove water pump, motor, and then 4 screws securing gearcase. Check clutch by using index finger to try and move brake, if it moves easily replace slipping clutch. Good luck.
