curing air lock in karcher k2.9?

my karcher k2.9 seems to have an air lock . how do i cure this

Karcher say connect and run water for 5 to 10 minutes with machine switched off. This will fix an airlock.

unlock the hose with your lance on it from the machine, connect the water supply and turn the water on leave it running for a couple of minutes,then turn the power on and leave swithched on,it should start up within a couple of minutes,when it does reconnect the lance,hopefully this will work.
