How can I fix my television?

I have a Toshiba 27 inch television model number CZ27B51. When I turn it on it is okay for the most part but every so often it will shut off and go into standby mode but if I try to turn it back on it won't turn on unless I pick up the front and drop it. What could be the cause of this? Any help would be appreciated.

Picking it up and dropping it is not advised. Although, you've probably confirmed it can only be a dry joint or loose connection.

Take it to a TV service centre. It sounds like a simple fault to locate and probably would be inexpensive to repair at the moment. It can only get worse.
