I have had to replace this belt several times. The drive belt is fine.

Thank You so much. I was thinking I might need to replace the bar, but when you suggested oil I took it apart it was frozen stiff so I broke it loose and put some oil on it she seems ok now..

first check how hard it is to turn the brush bar ?
next check the brush bearings on the beater bar,
remove the brush from the case body now turn the end caps do they turn freely without the brush itself turning take off the end caps and clean under them, then give each end a spot of oil,reassemble now turn the brush by hand is it easier than when you started.
