I have an Ideal Standard, CLASSIC LXFF & FF, FF260. The boiler will not ignite, power to the unit is ok, timer for water / heating ok.

I have tried to get it started several times but all that happens when I turn on the swith on the boiler is a low buzzing noise from the unit. There is no pilot light. Please help.

possibly faulty pcb, but most likely siezed fan, you may be able to lubricate it to get it going, that usually works. if the bearings are knackered the fan will need replaced.
