The Flameright I have and gives an idea on utube, means opening the door, take out the coals. Pull out the plastic where you normally see the flame effect. It means bending it, pulling them out of the lugs that keep it steady and pulling it out. Laying it on its back might help but you would need to put it upright again as there are 4 screws covering the bit that the coals normally sit on. Make a note on which is top and bottom as there is a pattern on the plastic and that might effect the end flame effect. Unto screws and lift up the area and below you will see two (in my case) normal lightbults with screw ends and mine are a brown colour. I took them out as both had blows but didn't have any spare screw bulbs the same size, however I did have two clear smaller ones that I screwed in. I put the plate the coal sits on and checked the lights before putting the plastic back and it was fine. I have to say I didn't wait to see if the flame effect papers were working as they have to heat up and being smaller they might not do the job. However now I know what I am doing I can repeat it if not. Put the plastic back, bent it, angle it, it is fairly solid so don't be scared of it. Make sure the plastic is stable (you can see where it should be) between the lugs then put coal back.
