You use the wrong term, what you want to do is to burn a music CD. I was ready to give you some addresses from where you can LEGALY download lots of free music...
As you tried different CD, let put the bad CD/CD ruined by failed burn out.
Changing the speed is not a solution. It's only usefull if the computer, somewho, can't keep up with the process.
Your burner may be dirty, deffective, or the application you use to burn may have goten corrupted.
- Try reinstalling the application.
- If reinstalling the application don't help, there may be dust on the laser of the burner. Carefully blast some compressed air in the drive to remove the dust.
- If you are sill unable to burn a CD, your drive may be, or have become, deffective. In that case, the best option would be to change it.
Note that changing the drive can easily be cheaper that trying to have it repaired, unles it's still under warenty.
