Removing pipe that has been glued together?

Is there any way to get a pipe apart that has been glued together? It's the pipe underneath the bathroom sink. I think it's called a T-trap. I've already tried using a pipe wrench.

There is a solvent but its expensive, cheaper to cut out the old bit and put new in.
