I have sound but no picture on my tv, its about 4 years old and out of warranty. The standby light still comes on green and the sound is there but the screen is completely black, no flicker of light at all. Can anyone give advice on whether this is a fixable problem and how much it is likely to cost if it is. thanks

If the screen is totally black it is most probably the inverter board gone this is the long board normally to the left or right hand side inside the set usually about £30-£40 on e-bay if your getting a blue screen then it will most likely be the scan board or t-con board as its also called this is more tricky as it is under the main boards in the centre connected to the screen again available from e-bay for around £20-30
