when i look at the lcd screen and through the veiw finder all is ok, but when i take a picture, on the screen and through the finder it is green with lines running the length of the screen,the printed picture comes out the same,greenish complete with lines.
do u think this is a pcb fault?

Try the video to see if that works to try to determine the cause of this problem.
It is difficult to resolve problems like this without actually seeing the camera but it could be as simple as a loose connection with the ccd ribbon.
Normally with lines on photographs the problem is caused by the shutter not closing fully or not at all. Thats why I wanted to know if the video works ok as it does not use the shutter.
single colour saturation is common with ccd failure but usually it is apparent all the time in the live view and reviewed picture.
estimated cost for repair would depend on the fault.
