How to locate leaks for Kenmore 80 series top loading washing machine?

I have a Kenmore 80 Series (model # 110.26892690) Heavyduty Super Capacity Plus top loading washing machine that works fine, but leaks. How do I 1) locate and isolate the problem and 2) repair the leak without spending more than what the machine is worth?
