You need a wireless device in the computer
The wireless device needs driver software loaded on the computer
The computer needs a router to connect to - either wirelessly or by cable.
The manufacturer's website often has device drivers freely available - you can connect to the router with an ethernet wire while you set things up for wireless operation.
