Pull switch lighting?

I have a supply of brown and blue and a light fitting of brown and blue.

I have the power brown going into com and both blues in L1 and the socket brown in L2.

When power switched on light works. When I pull the cord it blows the main fuse?

Adam is usually a little more helpful - my advice is worthless and potentially dangerous - leave the brown wires where they are and remove the two blue wires - find some way of joining them securely and safely together but do NOT connect them to the switch..

Take care...

Yes it will do - when you pull the cord the switch is making a short circuit.
Why would you want to wire up a switch like that?
