my boiler is flashing up a f22 code which means i need to fill up water in the system as the hot water and heating does not work. it is a Valliant Boiler ecotech. i have read the instructions which tells me the fault but not how to rectify it.

i would not do what dave said. go to hotpress and look for silver hose and open it up, get someone to keep an eye on pressure and stop it at 1 bar that should top it up

you should have a silver 'key' that you place in two brass slots underneath, the fill valves are brass and easily damaged if you do not have a key, use a screwdriver (Carefully) If you look under boiler, you will see 2 squarish bras blocks and a flat screw in each, rotate these and you eill start to fill. if you look carefully there is a pin in each that stops over rotation. use the largest scredriver you can get in the slots - using too small a driver will chew up the slots.
