Why doesn't my headphone Jack for my MP3 Player?

My MP3 Player is awesome but the headphone jack is messed up you can barely hear anything. It goes away and comes back, like when I walk or listen to it in the car and drive over a bump.. And yes I've tried 3 other earpieces for this and it is not the headset its the mp3 player any suggestion on what i should do?
P.S. my mp3 player is a Zen Micro

I've got this problem on 2 of my Zen mp3 players. From what I have been able to gather its a common flaw in them, but occurs over time mostly.

It can be fixed by some careful soldering on the headphone jack channels (but be careful for gods sake or you'll break it). Sorry I cant be more specific, but at least you know it can be fixed.

If it's new, take it back!
